Professor Wei Li Zhao is Deputy Director of the Department of Hematology at Ruijin Hospital in Shanghai. She is also Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute of Hematology.

Professor Zhao has a special interest in clinical and basic research relating to lymphoid malignancies. She has published more than 60 papers including Nature Genetics, Autophagy, Blood and Leukemia. She has membership of Chinese Society of Hematology, Chinese Society of Experimental Hematology, Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology, as well as the editorial committees of various journals including Pathobiology, Biomarker Research, Chinese Journal of Hematology and Chinese Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma.

Professor Zhao is the Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Science Foundation of China. She has received the Outstanding Achievement Award of Scientific Research from National Ministry of Education and HUA XIA Award of Medicine and Technology.
