Dr. Simrit Parmar obtained her medical degree from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, India and underwent internal medicine training at University of Illinois, Chicago. Thereafter, she completed training in Hematology Oncology at Northwestern University followed by a Bone Marrow Transplant Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Parmar has published in numerous peer reviewed journals and is on the editorial board of the journal Leukemia & Lymphoma. She is also one of the main organizers of BTG and AUBH series. Dr. Parmar serves as the secretariat for APHCON. She is also principal investigator for several clinical trials including cellular therapy. Areas of Interest: Cord Blood Regulatory T cells and cord blood lymphocyte infusion.
