Juan Li, achieved her M.D degree of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences at 1984 and since then had worked at the first affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (FAH-SYSU). She later got her master degree and Ph.D degree in hematology. She was a visiting scholar in Faculty of medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Now she is the professor, chief physician, mentor of Ph.D candidates, director of the hematologic disease research institute of Sun Yat-sen university, director of the internal medicine of FAH-SYSU, dean of the hematology division of FAH-SYSU, president of the Guangdong hematology division of the Chinese Medical Association, standing committee of the 2nd term of Hematology division of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and the 8th Chinese Medical Association, editorial board member of “Chinese Journal of Hematology”, “Journal of Clinical Hematology” and “Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine” . She has been dedicated to clinical practice of hematologic diseases and become an expert in multiple myeloma, especially in the pathogenesis of refractory/relapsed multiple myeloma, novel therapy exploration for myeloma and infections in hematology diseases. The grants she has directed or is directing include national science grants, Guangdong science grants, Brainstorm Projects of Guangdong Province, grants of Department of Public Health of Guangdong Province, etc. She had published 148 articles  as the first author or corresponding author and had achieved the first rank of Guangdong Provincial Science and technology progress award as the 1st principle investigator. She was also the chief editor of “Contemporary Clinical Hematology”, “Multiple Myeloma-current status and advances”, “Clinical Diagnosis and Therapy Hematologic Diseases”. “Multiple Myeloma-question and answer”
