Dr. Kim the Head of Cancer Research Institute at the Catholic University of Korea, a chairman of Asia CML Study Alliance (ACSA) that is an Asian hematologist network and the purpose is to improve the quality and standardization of CML therapy and research in Asian countries on the basis of understanding the current situation. And also ACSA seeks collaboration in CML studies and sharing information for new medical discoveries in CML and ELN (European Leukemia Net) Panel for CML recommendation 2013. Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the characteristics and treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia and transplant complications and has been published in more than 60 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals including NEJM, Nature, JCO, Blood, Leukemia, Haematological, Leukemia Research and International Journal of Hematology. His work was carried out in university hospitals and research institutes around the world, funded by numerous government and international research grants. He has also written two textbooks on chronic myeloid leukemia. Dr. Kim is a member of several international committees.
